Opposition to not attend P'ment sessions until secure

COLOMBO (News 1st); Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella says that Opposition MPs have decided not to attend Parliamentary sittings again until their security is assured. 

The Chief Opposition Whip, speaking at the Parliament stated that an issue has arisen regarding the security of Opposition MPs as yesterday (03), when MP Manusha Nanayakkara had requested for extra five minutes, a group of 15 or 20 ruling party members have attempted to attack him and they have pushed him, MP Kiriella alleged.

The debate on the second reading of the Appropriation Bill are still underway at the Parliament.
