UNP Working Committee makes several position changes

Colombo (News 1st); Palitha Range Bandara was appointed as the new General Secretary of the United National Party when the UNPs Working Committee convened on Wednesday (13) morning.

Akila Viraj Kariyawasam was appointed as the Assistant Leader of the UNP and Ruwan Wijewardena will continue to serve as the Deputy Leader of the United National Party.

Vajira Abeywardena was appointed the Chairman of the UNP.

D. M. Swaminathan and Arjuna Ranatunga were appointed as the Senior Vice Chairmen of the UNP while Daya Gamage, Sagala Ratnayake, and Sunethra Ranasinghe will serve as Vice Chairmen.

Navin Dissanayake will function as the National Organizer of the United National Party.

The UNP Working Committee convened under the auspices of Party Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
