Ministers' Vehicle Allocation Reduced to Two

COLOMBO (News 1st); A new directive issued by the Presidential Secretariat has limited the number of vehicles allocated to ministers to two. 

This decision, aimed at reducing government expenditure, also caps the monthly fuel allowance for ministers at 700 liters.

Previously, each minister was entitled to three vehicles and a monthly fuel allowance of 2,250 liters. 

Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala, stated that these steps were taken under the instructions of the President.
