Police Hunt for Dan Priyasad's Killers

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police launched an investigation into the murder of political activist Dan Priyasad. According to the police, four teams have been assigned to apprehend the suspects involved in the shooting.

The incident occurred last night (22) at an apartment complex in Salmulla, Kolonnawa, where two unidentified individuals shot Priyasad. 

He was critically injured and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Dan Priyasad, 39, was a resident of Meethotamulla, Wellampitiya. The police reported that the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and used a pistol-type firearm in the attack.
