Colombo (News 1st); 11 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Sunday (19) in Sri Lanka.
The Government Information Department said 03 cases are residents of Kahathuduwa, identified as contacts of cases reported from the Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation Center.
01 case is a resident from Pellmadulla also identified as a contact of cases reported from the Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation Center.
The above mentioned cases were in quarantine at the time of detection, said the Department of Government Information.
Further, 03 returnees from Qatar, 02 returnees from India and 02 returnees from the United Arab Emirates are confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 while in quarantine.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka rose to 2715 while the total number of recoveries also rose on Sunday to 2035.
