Suspected COVID-19 escapee from IDH located

The individual suspected to be the Covid-19 

patient who escaped from IDH was located following a search operation by security forces personnel.

Earlier on Friday (24), a major manhunt was launched to locate and detain a COVID-19 patient who escaped from the Infectious Diseases Hospital or IDH while receiving treatment early on Friday (24).

Police Spokesperson SSP Jaliya Senaratne said the suspect is a wanted criminal for multiple crimes and is a serious drug addict.
