Provincial Governors step down from their posts

Colombo (News 1st) - All 9 Governors of Sri Lanka have resigned from their positions. Governor of the Sabaragamuwa province Dhamma Dissanayake speaking to News1st noted that all the governors resigned based on a notice issued by the Presidential Secretariat today. When inquired Western Province Governor A.J.M. Muzzamil, Northern Province Governor Suresh Ragavan, Uva Province Governor Maithri Gunaratne, North Central Province Governor Sarath Ekanayake and Southern Province Governor Keerthi Tennakoon also informed News1st that they had stepped down from their positions.
