Two Arrested for Aiding Deshabandu Tennakoon to Evade Arrest

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested two suspects accused of aiding and abetting Deshabandu Tennakoon to evade arrest.

Police said that the suspects include a constable attached to the Special Security Division and a civilian. 

They had allegedly assisted Tennakoon in hiding, despite court-issued warrants calling for his surrender.

Deshabandu Tennakoon was recently arrested after voluntarily appearing before the Matara Magistrate’s Court and has been remanded until the 3rd of April.
