Tiran Alles Leaves CID After Five-Hour Statement

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Public Security Minister Tiran Alles has left the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) after providing a statement for over five and a half hours.

He arrived at the CID premises around 10:45 a.m. today after being notified to appear at the CID. 

According to police, the former minister was summoned to record a statement regarding the death of a police sergeant from the Colombo Crimes Division during a shooting incident near a hotel in Weligama, Matara, in 2023.
