President Ranil met Lycamobile's Allirajah in London

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Ranil Wickremasinghe had met with the Founder and Chairman of Lycamobile Subaskaran Allirajah and Group Deputy Chairman at Lycamobile Prem Sivasamy during his visit to the UK.

The Virakesari Newspaper report said that Subaskaran Allirajah had reportedly told the President in London that political prisoners should be freed and via such action reconciliation can be encouraged.

The Virakesari Newspaper further reported the President as saying that the issue regarding political prisoners was being handled and that it would soon be possible to create a positive atmosphere in this regard as well.

It added that the President had noted that members of the diaspora should step forward to invest in Sri Lanka, and that the government is prepared to provide the necessary facilities.

The President had reportedly noted that the necessary legal amendments will also be introduced.
