Heroin And ICE Worth Rs. 200 Million Found In Wellampitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A suspect was arrested in Wellampitiya with a drug haul valued at over Rs. 200 million.

Police stated that the drugs were found during a search of the suspect’s house following a tip-off.

Officers seized 13 kilograms and 372 grams of heroin and 3 kilograms and 580 grams of ICE.

Police said that cases have been filed against the suspect previously on drug-related charges.

It has also been revealed that the suspect was being manipulated by an imprisoned drug trafficker.

The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court Number Two today.
