COLOMBO (News 1st) - Samithi Nimhara Hegodaarachchi of Maliyadeva Balika Vidyalaya, secured the first place in the country in the Biology stream of the 2024 GCE Advanced Level Examination.
Lesanda Ransara Kumarage of Bandaranayake College, Gampaha secured the first place in the Mathematics stream.
Amasha Dulari Perera of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo, secured the first place in the Commerce stream.
Senali Chamathka Ranasinghe of Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha, secured the first place in the Arts stream.
Ravihansa Rosairo of Mayurapada Vidyalaya, Narammala, secured first place in the Engineering and Technology stream.
Nethmi Navodya Marasinghe of Sandalanka Central College, Pannala secured first place in the Biosystems Technology stream.
This year, 9,458 students have obtained three A passes in the GCE Advanced Level Examination.
Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara stated that 29,244 students have failed in all three subjects.
A total of 177,588 students have qualified for university admission based on this year's A/L examination results.
