The most iconic symbols of power from the global hit series Game of Thrones are officially hitting the auction block. 

Heritage Auctions has announced that the original, screen-used trio of dragon eggs gifted to Daenerys Targaryen in the series premiere will be sold to the highest bidder on July 15, 2026.

These artefacts, which come complete with their original ornate wooden chest, are verified as authentic, screen-used production props by HBO.

Market Momentum and Valuation

While the current bid sits at $21,000, market analysts anticipate a competitive scramble among high-end collectors. Following the record-breaking 2024 Game of Thrones auction, which saw items like the Iron Throne replica sell for nearly $1.5 million, expectations are high that these dragon eggs will achieve a premium price tag.

How to Participate?

For collectors and superfans looking to add these legendary props to their private collections, Heritage Auctions has outlined the following process:

Registration: Interested bidders must create an account on the Heritage Auctions website and provide proof of funds or a deposit to participate in high-value lots.

Proxy Bidding: Bidders can place "maximum bids" ahead of time. The automated system will bid on your behalf only as much as necessary to maintain your position as the high bidder, up to your pre-set limit.

Live Auction: On July 15, 2026, the auction will move to a live format where global participants can compete in real-time.

Authentication: Each item includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued by HBO, ensuring the provenance of the props for future investment value.
