COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera states that another ship carrying diesel is scheduled to arrive in the country tomorrow (29).
He stated that the unloading of crude oil from a crude oil tanker which arrived in the country, has already begun.
The Minister also clarified about the existing fuel stocks in Kolonnawa and Muthurajawela terminals;
Diesel - 17,077 MT
Super Diesel - 1,072 MT
92 Petrol - 37,391 MT
95 Petrol - 6,142 MT
JET A1 fuel - 2,437 MT
Meanwhile, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation states that the issuance of diesel and petrol to filling stations will continue, while queues observed at many places have been limited.
