Met Department Forecasts Showers To Many Parts Across The Island

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology says that showers or thundershowers can be expected at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces and in Kaluthara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts, during the afternoon or night today (05th December).

The department adds that fair weather will mainly prevail in the other parts of the island.

The departments further forecast that misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces.

The Department of Meteorology urges the general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
