Sri Lanka win Asian Central Zone Men's Volleyball Cup

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka were crowned champions of the Bangabandhu Asian Central Zone Men's Volleyball Challenge Cup 2021 held in Dhaka Bangladesh on Tuesday (28). Sri Lanka battled it out against hosts Bangladesh and had a clean sweep of 3 rounds to nil. The men’s competition featured Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, and hosts Bangladesh. Sri Lanka won the rounds 28 - 26, 25 - 20, and 25 - 20 respectively. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka won 3rd place beating Kyrgyzstan 3 - 0 in the Central Zone Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup. Six teams took part in the women’s event comprising Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Maldives, and hosts Bangladesh. The competition was held in Dhaka between 23 - 28 of December 2021.
