Senior DIG Ajith Rohana recovering from COVID, Police dismiss false social media claims

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said that Senior DIG Ajith Rohana is currently recovering at a private hospital in Colombo, after he tested positive for COVID-19.

Police dismissed social media claims that Snr. DIG Ajith Rohana was admitted to an ICU and is in critical condition.

Sri Lanka Police said that an image circulating on social media claiming to be the Senior DIG in the ICU, is not Ajith Rohana but in fact an image obtained from Tik Tok of an unknown individual who is residing overseas.
