COLOMBO (News 1st); In terms of Section 35 of the Monetary Law Act No. 58 of 1949, the seventy-first Annual Report of the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka was presented to Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, by Deshamanya Professor W D Lakshman, the Governor of the Central Bank on Friday (30).
According to the Monetary Act, the Central Bank Annual Report must be submitted to the Minister of Finance on or before April 30 of each year. According to a post on the Prime Minister Official Facebook page, this report details the economic progress achieved by Sri Lanka in the face of various challenges in the year 2020 and includes a forecast of the Sri Lankan economy in the Future Government Framework.
