Multiple long distance and inter-city trains suspended from May 01st

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Railways decided to suspend multiple Inter-City & Long Distance train operations due to a low number of ticket bookings, given the present COVID-19 situation in the country.

The canceled train services are:  1001 - Fort, Colombo to Badulla 1009/110 - Fort, Colombo to Kandy to Fort, Colombo 4003 - Fort, Colombo to Kankasanthurai 4021/4022 - Fort, Colombo to Kankasanthurai to Fort, Colombo 6075 - Fort, Colombo to Polonnaruwa 4017 - Fort, Colombo to Kankasanthurai 8054 - Fort, Colombo to Beliatte 1002 - Badulla to Fort, Colombo 1015 - Fort, Colombo to Badulla 6076 - Polonnaruwa to Fort, Colombo 4018 - Kankasanthurai to Fort, Colombo 8055 - Beliatte to Fort, Colombo 1016 - Badulla to Fort, Colombo Refer to the Sri Lanka Railways statement below for details of the canceled train operations;
