Multiple areas isolated with immediate effect: Govt Info Dept

COLOMBO (News 1st): Steps have been taken by the National Operation Centre for the prevention of COVID-19 outbreak to isolate a few other areas starting from 6 this morning. "The area that falls under the Akkareipattu UC of the Akkareipattu police division, Palamunei and Oluwil of the Addalacheni police division have been declared isolated," Lt. General Shavendra Silva the head of the National Operation Centre for the prevention of COVID-19 outbreak said. "Several Alayadiwembu Grama Niladari divisions of the Alayadiwembu police division have also been isolated," the Army commander added.
