Assault on Female Employee : Chief Engineer Arrested

Colombo (News 1st); The Chief Engineer of the Western Province Road Development Authority Udugampola Office was arrested for an assault on a female employee, said Sri Lanka Police.
The Chairman of the Provincial RDA said the Chief Engineer of the Western Province Road Development Authority Udugampola Office was interdicted prior to his arrest.
Video circulated on social media on Tuesday (24) showed the individual assaulting the female employee inside the office premises.
According to social media posts, the institution is the Udugampola office of the Western Provincial Road Development Authority and the date of the incident is mentioned on social media as 2020/11/23.
