2000 arrivals from South Korea and Italy quarantined

Colombo (News 1st) - The Ministry of Health says that over 2000 people who had arrived in the island from Italy and South Korea, where the new Corona Virus has spread, have been quarantined. Chief Epidemiologist Specialist Dr Sudath Samaraweera said this is being carried out by the public health officials of the respective areas in which they are located. He also said that a decision has been reached to quarantine arrivals from Italy and South Korea in separate centers. Specialist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said that several centers will be set up for this purpose. A total of 19 patients suspected of having contracted Covid 19 are currently receiving treatment at the IDH.
