President requests to refrain from displaying his portrait in public places

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A request has been made by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to not use any of his images or drawings in public places. The President had made a statement saying that he does not appreciate personal image promotion. Meanwhile, President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa arrived in Kandy this morning (March 1). The President who arrived at the Temple of the Tooth Relic this morning worshipped the Sacred Tooth Relic. The President then visited the Chief Prelate of the Asgiriya Chapter Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanaratana Thero during his visit to the Asgiriya Viharaya. Thereafter, the President met with Ven. Dr Godagama Mangala Thero, member of the Senior Working Committee of Asgiriya Vihara and Anunayake of Asgiriya Chapter Ven Vendaruwe Upali Thero.
