Over 160 Health Workers Infected With Dengue at Ratnapura Hospital

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sabaragamuwa Provincial Health Services Director Dr. Kapila Kannangara says that the number of health workers infected with dengue at the Ratnapura Teaching Hospital has risen to 166.

He said that hospital operations have been disrupted as a result.

Since January, 1,465 dengue cases have been reported from the Ratnapura district alone. 

Nationwide, more than 14,600 cases have been recorded over the past year, with the highest numbers reported from Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, and Ratnapura districts.
