Cases of Dengue on the rise

Colombo (News 1st) - According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 55,894 individuals have contracted dengue during the past 10 months. Director of the National Dengue Eradication Unit, Dr. Aruna Jayasekara noted that there has been a stark increase in the number of dengue patients being reported in October. A total fo 4,155 dengue patients were reported during October. The virus has so far claimed the lives of 72 people in 2019.
