New Zealand Deputy PM Winston Peters To Visit Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today for an official visit that will continue until the 28th of this month.

During his stay, Peters is set to meet with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. 

The visit aims to strengthen ties between the two countries, with a particular focus on cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, education, connectivity, tourism, and sports.

Bilateral discussions will also be held with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath.

Peters will be accompanied by three senior officials from New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
