COLOMBO (News 1st); To strengthen support for Sri Lanka’s war-disabled veterans, the Presidential Secretariat today (May 20) donated five vehicles to the Ranaviru Seva Authority (RSA).

The donation aims to improve transportation and logistical capabilities at RSA’s rehabilitation centers across the country.

The official handover took place at the President Secretariat Vehicle Yard, following a request from the RSA to address critical mobility shortages.

The vehicles were formally transferred under the directive of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, with Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake presenting the ownership documents to RSA representative Major Eranga Rathnayake at the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters.

The donated fleet includes:
- Two Mitsubishi Montero Jeeps
- One Nissan Petrol Jeep
- One Toyota Carina
- One Toyota Hilux

These vehicles will be deployed to RSA’s key rehabilitation centers located in Anuradhapura, Kamburupitiya, Pangolla Abimansala, Attidiya Mihindu Seth Medura, and Ragama Ranaviru Sevana.

These facilities provide essential residential care, physical therapy, and medical services to veterans who sustained injuries during their military service.
