Over 80,000 Tourists Arrive In May

COLOMBO (News 1st); According to the latest statistics released by the Tourism Development Authority, a total of 80,421 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka during the first 18 days of May 2025.

This brings the total number of tourist arrivals for the year so far to 977,305.

India continues to lead as the top source of tourist arrivals, with 184,095 visitors reported to date.

Russia ranks second, with 109,675 tourists having arrived in Sri Lanka so far this year.

In addition, 92,539 tourists have arrived from the United Kingdom, followed by 67,019 from Germany and 55,220 from France, making them the other top source markets for the year to date.
