Event Venue Fire In Rajagiriya Extinguished; No Casualties Reported

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A fire that broke out at an Event Venue on Castle Street in Rajagiriya last night has been successfully extinguished.

Police said the blaze erupted during an event, but all attendees were safely evacuated.

The Fire Services Department deployed four fire engines to control the fire, while two additional engines from the Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Council Fire Department assisted in the operation.

Police confirmed that the building sustained significant damage as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
