Ministerial Homes to Boost Sri Lanka's Economy

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Public Administration has recommended that ministerial residences be allocated for activities that yield suitable economic benefits, including tourism, state functions, and diplomatic purposes.

Minister of Public Administration, Professor Chandana Abeyratne, stated that the report containing these recommendations has been submitted to the Presidential Secretariat. 

Based on these recommendations, future decisions regarding the use of ministerial residences will be made.

A five-member committee was recently appointed to investigate the utilization of ministerial residences for other purposes. 

This committee was tasked to explore various avenues to ensure these properties contribute to the nation's economic growth.
