COLOMBO (News 1st) - Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne has officially assented to the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2025, which was passed in Parliament, thereby enacting it as Appropriation Bill No. 3 of 2025.
The final vote, held during the third reading of the Appropriation Bill yesterday, saw 159 MPs voting in favour and 45 against, securing a majority of 114 votes.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his capacity as Minister of Finance, presented the second reading of the Appropriation Bill on February 17.
