Another Suspect Arrested Over Ganemulla Sanjeewa Case

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of organized criminal Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne, also known as Ganemulla Sanjeewa, at the Hulftsdorp No. 05 Magistrate’s Court.

The suspect, a 23-year-old resident of Madampitiya, was taken into custody for allegedly abetting the murder.

This brings the total number of arrests linked to the incident to 14.

Ganemulla Sanjeewa was gunned down on February 19 while being brought to court.

The Colombo Crime Division is continuing investigations into the shooting.
