Pathfinder Foundation Hosts Japanese Defence Officials

COLOMBO (News 1st); A delegation from the Japanese Defence Ministry visited the Pathfinder Foundation headquarters at Riverpoint in Peliyagoda. 

They were led by Rear Admiral (Retd) TERADA Hiroyuki, Director for Defense Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific Region, Indo-Pacific Regional Policy Division, Ministry of Defense, Japan.

The delegation met with Founder Milinda Moragoda, Chairman Bernard Goonetilleke, and senior members of the organization.

This visit was part of an ongoing dialogue and exchange of ideas between the Pathfinder Foundation and the Japanese Government on areas of mutual interest related to the Indian Ocean Region. 

Japan has been a regular sponsor of the biennial Pathfinder Indian Ocean Security Conference, a pioneering initiative first launched by the foundation in 2019.
