No Threats to National Security, PM Assures

COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya says that all measures have been taken to ensure national security.

She emphasized that she strongly condemns the statements made by some factions regarding national security with political motives.

She pointed out that the government has taken steps against such individuals, despite their titles and positions. 

She assured the general public that there is no threat to national security in Sri Lanka. 

She went on to state that such claims were simply made by member of the opposition, with the aim of destabilizing the government. 

She expressed confidence that the Tri - forces and the Sri Lanka Police would take appropriate measures to ensure national security.
