President Announces Sacred Tooth Relic Exposition

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake revealed plans to hold an Exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year this year.

During a tour in Kandy, the President mentioned that the Chief Prelates of Asgiri and Malwathu Chapters have also expressed their support for the event.

The President also reassured the public, stating that there is no threat to national security. 

While conflicts among organized criminal groups have arisen, they have not posed a risk to public safety. 

He further emphasized that these gangs have evolved into a destructive network over time, and efforts are actively underway to dismantle it completely. 

He expressed confidence in this effort, noting that such criminal activities had previously been shielded under political protection.
