Sri Lanka and India to Modernize Indo-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism Vijitha Herath addressed the future of the Indo-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (FTA), emphasizing the need to update the agreement to reflect current realities.

At a special media briefing to outline details of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's official tour to India, the Minister expressed Sri Lanka's desire to expand the market and modernize the FTA to foster continued economic cooperation between the two countries.
