Digital Cooperation Agreements Between Sri Lanka and India

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism Vijitha Herath, highlighted the growing digital cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.

He noted that India's advancements in digital technology, particularly in the start-up ecosystem, are being used as a model to support Sri Lanka's youth in acquiring new skills.

Both countries are working towards a formal agreement to deepen cooperation in the digital sector, with a focus on using technology to improve social security programs and reduce corruption.
