Deadline for 2023-2024 Returns of Income Submission Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The period for submitting Returns of Income for the 2023-2024 assessment year through the online system concludes today.

The Inland Revenue Department announced that special assistance counters have been set up at its main and regional offices to provide technical support.

Individuals earning over Rs. 100,000 per month or Rs. 1.2 Million annually are required to pay taxes. 

This year marks the first time sole proprietorships and partnerships can submit reports via the online system.

Those unable to complete submissions online can visit the offices to finalize the process.
