Western Province Reduces Procurement Spending Limit to Enhance Accountability

COLOMBO (News 1st):

An extraordinary gazette has been issued to amend the "Rules on Procurement Affairs Relevant to the Provincial Council Fund of the Western Province."

This was signed by Hanif Yusoof, the Governor of the Western Province.

The amount that department heads were permitted to spend was Rs. 50 million, as stated under the first subsection in Section 7 of the Rules on Procurement Affairs published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2186/25 dated July 30, 2020.
