Srilankan Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing In Austria

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Sri Lankan flight carrying 272 passengers en route from Colombo to London was forced to land at Vienna International Airport in Austria due to a medical emergency on board.

Sri Lankan Airlines Communications Department confirmed the diversion to Vienna, where a passenger received emergency medical treatment onboard the aircraft.

However, the departure of the flight from Vienna has been delayed due to a technical problem.
SriLankan Air Lines Communications announced that the flight, which departed from Vienna yesterday, arrived at Heathrow Airport at 09.30pm London time.
