South Asia's TALLEST abseiling experience at Colombo Lotus Tower

COLOMBO (News 1st); The tallest abseiling experience in South Asia will soon be open to the public at the Colombo Lotus Tower.

The pilot Abseiling of the Colombo Lotus Tower took place on Tuesday (7), and after it is opened to the public the exciting new adventure activity aims to bring the breathtaking views of Colombo as one descends the tower, surrounded by the city's stunning skyline. 

Major General S.A.P.P Samarasinghe (Retd) CEO and Director of the Colombo Lotus Tower told reporters that since the premises opened to the public in September 2022, more than 1.3 million people had visited the iconic landmark in Colombo.

He said that the skywalk experience will open in December 2023, while the bungee jumping experience at the Colombo Lotus Tower will be delayed further.

"The ramp required for bungee jumping is difficult to construct, and should be some 27m moving outside the Lotus Tower. The engineers have finalized a design, and it would take another few months," he added.

Major General Samarasinghe also said that the restaurants will open in December, while a Digital Arts Museum will open in January at the Colombo Lotus Tower.
