Sri Lanka: President calls Armed Forces to maintain public order

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has issued an Extraordinary Gazette summoning the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, and the Sri Lanka Air Force for the maintenance of public order.

The areas mentioned in the extraordinary gazette to maintain public order are as follows:

The Administrative District of Colombo and the territorial water adjacent to such District
The Administrative District of Gampaha and the territorial water adjacent to such District
The Administrative District of Kalutara and the territorial water adjacent to such District
The Administrative District of Kandy
The Administrative District of Matale
The Administrative District of Nuwara Eliya
The Administrative District of Galle and the territorial water adjacent to such District
The Administrative District of Matara and the territorial water adjacent to such District
The Administrative District of Hambantota and the territorial water adjacent to such District
