More private jets in Sri Lanka? Airport officials mum on manifest

COLOMBO (News 1st); Concerns are mounting over two private jets that reached the Katunayake Airport, recently.

M-ERCI

The M-ERCI private jet had reached the Maldives from Zurich on the 27th of December and flew to Sri Lanka on the 28th of December.

For more than five days, this private jet remains at the Katunayake International Airport.

MERCI Limited is listed as the owner of the private jet and its address in listed in the Isle of Man, a self-governing British Crown dependency in the Irish Sea between England and Ireland.

According to records, this private jet is unregistered.

G-GSVI

The G-GSVI is an Executive Charter Jet with many modern facilities, and this jet reached Sri Lanka from the UK on the 28th of December.

This jet is currently at the Katunayake International Airport and it belongs to one of UKs top billionaires.

The current ownership lies with Executive Jet Charter Ltd.

When News 1st made inquiries over these two private jets, the Duty Manager at the Katunayake Airport said he is not in possession of the passenger manifest, however, he is responsible to protect the privacy of the passengers.
