3,000 schools with less than 200 students to re-open on 21st October

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Education Ministry announced that a decision was reached to open schools with less than 200 students that teach students from Grades 1 to 5.

The decision was reached following a meeting between Provincial Governors and the Education Minister, Dinesh Gunwardena.

Accordingly, 3,000 schools will be re-opened under the first phase, as per the recommendations of the Health Minister.
