Govt lifts rice control price & decides to import 100,000 MT

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lankan Government has decided to do away with the Gazette Notification on imposing a control price for rice.
The decision was made at Monday's (27) Cabinet meeting.
Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena told News 1st that the Cabinet of Minister granted approval to import 100,000 MT of rice to Sri Lanka as a security stock to prevent prices of rice to increase.
