Former Assistant Superintendent of Boossa Prison Killed in Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A former assistant superintendent of the High Security Prison in Boossa, Galle was shot and killed in the Thalagaha area of Akmeemana, Galle, this evening.
Police reports indicate that two men on a motorcycle opened fire at the victim while he was in his yard.
The assailants used a 9mm pistol before fleeing the scene.
Investigations are currently underway as authorities work to apprehend the suspects responsible for the shooting.
