Sugar & Rice Control Price Gazette to be issued on Thursday (02)

COLOMBO (News 1st): The State Ministry of Consumer Protection says that a gazette notification will be issued today (02) to impose a control price for sugar and rice.

State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna stated that the gazette will be issued to impose a control for essential items.

Moreover, State Minister Alagiyawanna added that the stocks of sugar seized by the officers of the Consumer Affairs Authority and the Commissioner General of Essential Services will be sold at concessionary prices through cooperatives and Sathosa from today (02) onwards.
