DENGUE ON THE RISE: 7,317 patients reported so far this year

COLOMBO (News 1st); 430 dengue patients were reported from across the Island during the past 15 days, said the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) on Monday (17).
Dr. Aruna Jayasekera, the Director of the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) speaking to News 1st said a majority of these patients (150), were reported from the Colombo District.
A total of 7,317 dengue patients were reported from across Sri Lanka so far this year and the highest number of patients were reported from the Batticaloa District.
