9,740 people are currently undergoing quarantine for COVID-19

Colombo (News 1st); A total of 9,740 people are currently undergoing quarantine for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka, said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Among them, 693 are those who were identified from the local community while the remaining 9,047 are returnees from overseas. The National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said so far a total of 133,465 people have undergone quarantine while 123,725 people were released from quarantine facilities. As of 30th March 2021, 92,303 COVID-19 cases were reported in Sri Lanka while 88,914 recovered from COVID-19, said the NOCPCO.
