COLOMBO (News1st): Two books were launched today by Gammadda Dam Saviya during an event at the News 1st Head Office in Colombo.
"There is a section of the society that moves away from the Dhamma education," Ven. Matale Dhammakusala Thero, the Anunanayake of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Sect.
Chevaan Daniel, the Group Director of the Capital Maharaja Group, said that true Sri Lankans must protect the purity of Buddhism.
"Through the truth hidden in the Dhamma, we all believe that we can take our country to a position surpassing all other states," the Group Director noted.
Most Ven. Ganthune Assajee Thero, the Acting Mahanayake of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Sect, commended moves to make the teachings of the religion, available in print.
"Its commendable that the Dharma is issued in print-making it available to read," Ven. Ganthune Assajee Thero noted.
